TLDR – Info on new ticket prices, charges, and gate hours for 2024.

Ahhh Valentine’s Day, that time of year when many of us express our love, deep appreciation, and general fondness for those in our lives whom we care for and want to see thrive. We are hoping to support and encourage this mindset in our community with some changes to our ticketing this year, and it will all start on Valentine’s Day!

We also want to be transparent in the fact that almost all prices have had to increase this year, plus we have to introduce some new price points as well. Running a burn is increasingly more expensive (we now pay almost double on some items vs. what we paid in 2019) and we need to have the funds to cover everything. We’ve tried our best to make decisions that are both not cost-prohibitive for attendance, yet still supportive of what we hope to fund in the coming year.
Even with these changes, we fortunately remain one of the most inexpensive burns of our size on the east coast, if not the whole U.S. Below is all ticketing information regarding this year’s ticket offerings and the release schedule. Information and transparency FTW!

1 – Valentines Day ticket release on 2/14/24 @ 12:00 p.m. – Golden Apple tickets @ $150.00 each.
Are you financially secure, want to buy your ticket super early, *and* want to help a little extra to fund the ambitions of Lord Summerisle? Buy a Golden Apple ticket! Available over a month before general sales begin, this tickets’ extra dollars will help us cushion our budget as we work to bring bigger art to Summerisle, and also provide support to less resourced members of our community to help them attend, among a laundry list of other hopes and wishes we have for the burn.

2 – Early Apple Tickets release on sale on St. Patrick’s Day (3/17/24) at 12:00 p.m. @ $80.00 each – 100 tickets available
The price went up by $5. That’s the only change.

3 – Tier 1 also go on sale on St. Patrick’s Day (3/17/24) after the Early Bird tickets sell out – @ $100.00 each – 400 tickets available
The price went up by $5, and 100 more tickets are available at this tier this year.

**We got rid of Tier 2 tickets and split the tickets between Tier 1 and Final Tier.

4 – Final Tier on sale on 4/28/24 at 12:00 p.m. @ $120.00 each – 400 tickets available
The price went up by $5, and 100 more tickets are available at this tier this year.

5 – **NEW** Parking passes @ $10.00 per vehicle for the weekend – 700 available.
Carpool if you can! $10 covers any vehicle parked at the event that doesn’t have an RV pass. The only free parking passes available will be for the recipients of our BIPOC and Financial Hardship tickets, as well as the BOD, Coordinators, Returning Leads, and Effigy/Temple leads. Come be a key volunteer in making the burn happen, and you can get one too!

6 – **NEW** RV Passes @ $40.00 each. Application form will be opened and posted on 3/17. 20 passes available. Theme camps with RVs or large vehicles will be placed in Combustia. Open campers with RVs will be placed in RV Land.
Any and all RVs/large vehicles will have to pay for their ride to come in this year, including those coming in with theme camps. All persons planning to camp in their vehicles must apply for RV passes. If you are parking in parking, you will pay the $10.00 parking fee instead. No, you may not stay in your RV/large vehicle out in the parking lot.
**An RV is considered any vehicle you are parking and sleeping in, to include motorhomes, campervans, campercars, coaches, caravans (also known as travel trailers and campers), fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers, and truck campers.
**Theme Camp Organizers: RV requests for theme camp placement will have to be made separately from your theme camp application and may only be requested by the camp’s TCO. The vehicle must be decorated in some way to *blend in* with the burn, or hidden away from view.

7 – Reserve tickets for new BIPOC burners/attendees @ free + 1 free parking pass – 25 tickets available
We’ve decided to make these tickets free, but we will be awarding these tickets to first-time BIPOC burners AND new-to-Summerisle BIPOC burners. Those who were awarded tickets in 2023 are not eligible to apply, including those who were awarded tickets but did not use them. Please apply or encourage your baby burner BIPOC friends to apply ASAP as general ticket sales begin on 3/17 and we will begin awarding the tickets prior to that date. The application form will be opened and posted on Valentine’s Day 2/14/24. The form will stay open even after the tickets are awarded to create a waiting list in case of cancellations. No transfers, no exceptions. If you can’t make it or no longer need the ticket, let us know and we will award the ticket to the next person on our list.

8 – Reserve tickets for new burners/attendees who are experiencing Financial Hardship @ free + 1 free parking pass – 25 tickets available
This year, we will be prioritizing awarding tickets to first-time applicants, but anyone experiencing financial hardship is encouraged to apply. Please apply, or encourage your burner friends who otherwise couldn’t afford to go, to apply ASAP, as general ticket sales begin on 3/17 and we will begin awarding the tickets prior to that date. The application form will be opened and posted on Valentine’s Day 2/14/24. The form will stay open even after they are awarded to create a waiting list in case of cancellations. No transfers, no exceptions. If you can’t make it or no longer need the ticket, please let us know and it will be awarded to the next person on our list.

9 – Coordinators, Returning Leads, and Effigy/Temple Leads @ $65.00 each + 1 free parking pass
These are the same price as they were last year. Those who help us by doing extra to help the burn run will receive discounted tickets. If you are interested in learning more about how to do extra, please contact us directly, or submit your info to one of the forms below. No transfers on these tickets for any reason. If you cannot make it, please contact us directly. Anyone found in possession of one of these tickets without earning it fairly risks being banned from the burn.

10 – Children tickets @ free for children 12 years old and younger.
Previously, these tickets were for children 15 years and younger, but it is now for 12 years old and younger. ALL children need to “purchase” a free ticket on Humanatix along with their adult’s purchased ticket. No ticket at gate = no entry (yes, even though the childrens’ tickets are free, you must have one for each kid). All children must also have the waiver filled out by their adult as well.

11 – Ice @ $5.00 a bag
This is a $1.50 increase from last year. For 2 years running, when we take stock of things on Monday, we always have SO MUCH ICE left over. The amount of single-use plastic MOOP this generates, as well as the water that is wasted from it, makes us very sad. Like literally a whole huge freezer-full that we can’t even gift away. We’ve decided to make ice more expensive to serve as a kick in the pants to all attendees to please be more mindful of how much ice is pre-purchased. Look at your order from last year and reconsider it. Also, picking up or gifting all the purchased ice so that we can reduce our cumulative waste is important to us for 2024. Can we finally have a burn where we don’t have more than one freezer chest of ice left over? We’ll find out!
